現實中光怪陸離的新聞事件超乎想像、夢境與現實的分界似乎越來越模糊…. 故事中的角色帶著現實生活的缺憾與困惑，在神秘的「嘻哈蒼蠅人」帶領下，進入奇幻的夢境世界，變形成各自內在渴望的形象：無盡等待的「千年女伶」、永遠吃不飽的「空心男」，以及渴望與人接觸的「食蟻獸作家」……等等。夢境世界中情歌是角色溝通的話語，演員穿戴超現實尺寸的奇特造型戲偶，突破日常生活的認知界線，將觀眾拉入不可思議的幻想世界。

Waking Dreams

The daily headlines again and again challenge the way we perceive reality as well as our knowledge of the world with their absurdity. The boundary between dream and reality gets blurred… The characters in Waking Dream, with the unfulfilled desire and confusion they have experienced in real life, follow the mysterious “Hip-hop Fly Man” into a dream-like fantasy, where each of them is transformed into what they have been dreaming of: the Thousand-year Diva who waits for eternity, the Hollow Man who is always hungry, the Anteater Writer who longs for human contact, etc. In the dreamland, they communicate through no language but love songs. Actors in fantasized costume, often of surrealistic sizes, shatter the realm of the established norm and drag the audience to explore the world beyond imagination.
