《雞？蛇？怪！》的故事靈感融合波蘭民間傳說《巴西利斯克》（Basilisk）與中國古典文學《搜神記・李寄斬蛇》。在劇團的重新詮釋中，「巴西利斯克」是一種人類未知的怪物，牠以謠言與想像為食，逐漸失控，人們將牠鎖在一座城堡的地窖裡，希望牠就此消失；在另一個遙遠的國度，巨蛇盤踞著一個山中村莊，每年都有一名少女遭到獻祭，直到一位名叫李寄的女孩自願前往蛇洞。兩個故事中的英雄在怪物巢穴的深處相遇，他們的世界以及他們的怪物開始融合。
作品融合現場操偶、即時投影、交響音樂與戲劇表演，以「現場偶戲動畫」（Live Puppet Animation）的形式與交響樂團同登舞台，觀眾能同時看見操偶師的現場操偶與影像生成，與音樂、敘事並行，創造出視覺與聽覺交織的動態詩篇。

Chicken? Snake? Monsteeeer!

The story of “Chicken? Snake? Monster!” draws inspiration from the Polish folktale Basilisk and the Chinese classical text Li Ji Slays the Serpent. In this reinterpretation, the “Basilisk” is an unknown creature that feeds on rumors and imagination. As it grows increasingly uncontrollable, people lock it away in the cellar of a castle, hoping it will disappear forever.
In another distant land, a giant serpent terrorizes a mountain village, claiming the life of one young woman each year—until a girl named Li Ji volunteers to enter the serpent’s lair. Deep within the monsters’ dens, the heroes of these two stories meet, and their worlds—along with their monsters—begin to merge.
The production blends live puppetry, real-time projection, symphonic music, and theatrical performance. Presented as “Live Puppet Animation,” it shares the stage with a symphony orchestra, allowing the audience to see both the puppeteers’ live manipulation and the imagery being created in the moment. As music and storytelling unfold in parallel, the result
is a dynamic poem woven from interlaced visuals and sound.
