無獨有偶攜手擅長懸絲偶的德國圖賓根形體劇團歷時三年共創，《穿越真實的邊界》從東西方怪物誌《山海經》及《想像的動物》為起點，汲取人類對於未知世界的迷茫及好奇，直面深藏人們內心的恐懼。全劇由數段當代人生命課題的故事所組成，分享面對社交、渴望逃離現實的難題：深處科技發展與自然生長間的人類，不斷挑戰各種極限，不斷改寫宇宙運行的法則，究竟誰才是怪物？還是其實我們就是自己創造出來的怪物？作品結合偶物、形體、即時影像、現場樂音，游移在虛實之間，匯聚成充滿未來感的劇場語彙，交織出一場穿越夢境與真實、已知與未知邊界的時空旅行。

Traveling between the known and the unknown

Traveling between interdisciplinary puppetry, Puppet & Its Double Theater Company collaborates with German masters of marionette, Figuren Theatre Tübingen to create a poetic dreamland and confront people’s innermost fear. On the Edge of Reality begins with Eastern and Western mythologies, The Shānhǎijīng, Monsters of Taiwan, and The Book of Imaginary Beings, using puppets and performers, modern and traditional theatrical techniques to explore the space of theater. Through the “indescribable and ineffable” agency, the show is a thought exchange between the East and the West. Flowing on the edge of reality, this piece incorporates puppets, objects, real-time projection, and live music that converge toward a futuristic theatrical language, reproducing a time journey in-between reality and virtuality, shaping the monsters that the contemporaries face and constructing a universal vision traveling on the edge of dream and reality, and the known and the unknown.
